There are no books, no memorising or homework - but a series of CDs where you should in a matter of hours pick up “a comprehensive grasp of the structure of the language, enabling you to communicate with confidence”.
By clever use of language and memory skills, Michel points out in his similarities in English and French vocabulary and gives you the tools to guess the words you do not know, or think you do not know!
The Foundation Course has recently been revamped, and gets good reviews from recent buyers over at Amazon. Having tried one of Michel Thomas’ courses (Spanish), it is an acquired teaching taste. Michel doesn’t have the most listenable of voices and you do need to concentrate and be awake (wide awake) to appreciate the lessons and take in the information.
